# .NET Toolbox August Update

Quite some time passed since I posted a changelog to the [.NET Toolbox](https://toolbox.bitspire.ch/). And there are big news: The Toolbox is running **dotnet** native in the browser thanks to **wasm** and Mono!

Thanks to the magic of `dotnet workload install wasm-tools` and interop between JavaScript and Dotnet. I will show the recent updates where we added "dotnet" support natively into the browser. For ideas just file a request here: https://github.com/BitSpireGmbH/toolbox/issues/new/choose

As always everything runs in your browser, nothing goes out. You can also install it as PWA and turn of WiFi, just to be sure.

## LINQ Visualizer

Want to step through LINQ queries step by step? The visualizer, mainly meant for beginners, let's you see what a given LINQ query does under the hood. You can "replay" the steps and thanks to the real dotnet runtime (be it Mono) that is really what happens under the hood.

## List Benchmarks

We already had a visualizer for lists and how they grow - but now you can also "benchmark" This is not BenchmarkDotNet the performance and allocations.

## Struct Layout

A bit more advanced: Seeing how the runtime lays out the memory for a given struct:
